Granny Dowbekin’s offer great homemade food with a menu of family favourites. Ingredients are sourced locally and presented in a Cumbrian style and generosity. The tea room offers something for everybody serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. There is a tempting selection of homemade cakes and traybakes on display in the main tearoom and they always have gluten free options, vegan cakes and a range of dairy free and nut free delicacies.

At Gurkha’s Diner, you can experience some of the finest Nepalese & Indian cuisine. Founded in 2004 as a take-away in Market Street, Torquay, we were the very first Nepalese Cuisine Specialist in the whole of Torbay or Devon. We have grown from a single small takeaway to a big licensed restaurant. We serve stylish, high quality, great value Nepalese and Indian Cuisine, as well as outstanding quality food. Most items on the menu can be made gluten free.

At Hanbury’s Restaurant, oak beams, old pine ceilings, stone fireplaces, reclaimed brick and fresh reconditioned tables and chairs all gave the restaurant a ‘seaside cosy feel’. Most of the furniture is made from reclaimed vintage pine from local railway station buildings. We cook delicious, fresh, award winning fish and chips, which is what Hanbury’s is famous for. We are also able to offer a wider range of specials and change our menu to coincide with what fresh, local fish is available.Gluten free fish and chips are available.
